10 Best Guided Meditations on YouTube

As you know, I have been going through a particularly difficult period in my life recently and at times I have felt depressed, anxious and physically/mentally exhausted. When I feel like this I know that the greatest thing I can do to support myself is to meditate either by using a mindful breathing technique or by listening to guided meditations.

I find that meditation gives me a break from any negativity I feel and it actually shifts my consciousness so that I can view life in a more positive way, which in turn eases my depression/anxiety/exhaustion; sometimes, it eradicates it completely.

I have collated 10 of my favourite guided meditations, all of which are free on YouTube. No matter what troubles you face in your life, or even if you simply seek some quiet relaxation time for yourself, there is a guided meditation that would be perfect for you.

1. Chakra Sleep Meditation (Healing & Cleansing)

Length: 35 minutes (22 minutes guided meditation + 13 minutes relaxing music)

What I love about it: I created this meditation to help all those who need assistance sleeping and need to rebalance their chakras. Whenever I do this meditation, I really feel as though I have cleansed the energy in my body and recharged all of the chakra energy points within me.

I finished this and felt: Complete/whole, empowered. I had such a deep sleep.

Perfect for those who:  Want to sleep peacefully and awaken revitalised for the day with energy fully recharged. Or anyone who requires powerful healing or cleansing of their energy system.

2. To Ease Anxiety, Worry and Urgency

Length:  10 minutes

What I love about it: The music itself is so beautiful and the speaker’s voice is sweet, loving and angelic.

I finished this and felt: As if an angel had scooped me up into their arms and cuddled all my troubles away.

Perfect for those who: Feel overwhelmed or anxious.

3. The Five Minute Miracle

Length:  5 minutes

What I love about it:  It only takes 5 little minutes to remember to think positive, loving thoughts about ourselves and the world.

I finished this and felt:  Mindful – I remembered I was the power in my world and I could choose to make my day/life amazing.

Perfect for those who: Want a quick daily reminder to be mindful and to empower themselves to live a joyful, loving life.

4. Guided Sleep Meditation – Forest

Length:  26 minutes (16 minutes guided meditation + 10 minutes relaxing music)

What I love about it: This enchanted forest is a very special place. When I listen to it, I feel as though the entire woodland is taking care of me, nurturing and holding me. It is easy to fall asleep in this ultra tranquil place. 

I finished this and felt: Nurtured, safe and calm – I slept so well!

Perfect for those who: Are in need of a beautiful night’s sleep, free of all worries and fears.

5. For Self Esteem and Acceptance, Anxiety and Depression

Length:  21 minutes

What I love about it: How wonderful this makes you feel about yourself and about life. Her voice is exotic and transports you to a safe, beautiful place. 

I finished this and felt: Optimistic, loving towards myself and others.

Perfect for those who: Want to boost self esteem and feel optimistic.

6. In Transition – Endings and New Beginnings

Length:  60 minutes

What I love about it: This raises your vibration and opens your awareness up to the Universe’s greater plan for you.

I finished this and felt: As though my life is guided by a loving Universe and that everything is unfolding perfectly.

Perfect for those who: Need to trust and flow with the changes in their life.

7. Powerfully Transformative Anxiety Meditation

Length:  16 minutes

What I love about it: The blue light in this meditation is extremely powerful and has a feeling of being in one of those spa floatation baths – so relaxing! It works quickly to transform all anxiety into peace and inner-calm.

I finished this and felt: Supported, fearless and so peaceful. 

Perfect for those who: Need to let go of all their stress and anxiety and feel deeply calm again.

8. For Insomnia, Sleepless Nights

Length:  62 minutes

What I love about it: How calming this is when you can’t sleep and how much it supports you to drift back off.

I finished this and felt: Asleep!

Perfect for those who: Are suffering with insomnia or are afraid of not sleeping.

9. Healing the Body, Mind & Spirit

Length:  40 minutes

What I love about it: This really does profound healing on a cellular level and I believe we could all benefit from listening to this meditation as it is deeply relaxing and attracts abundance.

I finished this and felt: Deeply relaxed, healed.

Perfect for those who: Require healing, relaxation and positive affirmations.

10. Forgiveness, Releasing Guilt and Letting Go

Length: 13 minutes

What I love about it: I love this angelic voice and how beautifully this meditation helps us to let go of unwanted baggage.

I finished this and felt: Free and light, I forgave myself and made peace with my past.

Perfect for those who: Need to release guilt, forgive themselves and others, let go of the past.

Length: 16 minutes

What I love about it: You realise the creative powerful you have within you! You visualise every aspect of the life you want and you create it.

I finished this and felt: As though I had done a very powerful meditation – excited, energised and incredibly happy.

Perfect for those who:  Want to manifest the life of their dreams.

12. Guided Meditation: Deep Relaxation & Bliss

Length: 14 minutes

What I love about it: This is a short meditation which will very quickly relax you and create a place of stillness within you.

I finished this and felt: Peaceful, calm, centred.

Perfect for those who:  Need quick stress-relief.

13. Letting Go Meditation – Freedom from all Limitations!

Length: 22 minutes

What I love about it: Letting go feels easy in this meditation.

I finished this and felt: Liberated, light.

Perfect for those who:  Wish to release limiting beliefs and trapped emotions.

Don’t wait to start meditating. No matter your experience, you can find a pair of earphones and give yourself a few minutes of treasured ‘you’ time that you so deserve. I promise you wont regret it!

        When I was in grad school I had a professor who led the class in a guided imagery session. I believe you had to dive to the bottom of the ocean where you found A treasure chest to explore. So the meditation revolved around a written script where through the dive you learned a lot about yourself. Have you ever heard of something like this? Or have any advice on where I could start looking?

    I wanted to share that my life journey has brought me finally to the correct places and when your true self aligns to the higher consciousness, miraculous things start to happen.

    I have been practicing yoga and meditation and your free list is very useful and helpful. In addition, practicing compassion, mindfulness and gratitude provides immense joy and happiness and eventually teaches you to become more resilient to face the various challenges in life. Strangely, we humans have everything right here with us to help us through our stresses and yet we choose to ignore it.

    Jess, I just have to say that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE your Powerful Abundance Meditation. I think it is one of my favourites of all time and while I haven’t been a long-time meditation practitioner, I have listened to several various ones and most of the ones you have listed above. I also wasn’t expecting this reaction. Sure, I thought I would give it a try and figured I would probably enjoy it, but it blew me away.

    Thankyou so much for this. I have suffered depression and anxiety for a long time. Everything about me was so negative. It has been a week since I started on this journey of guided meditation. OMG i can’t believe the difference i see and feel about myself. I go to bed each night with a set of headphones and listen to one. I go to sleep relaxed, more often than not am asleep before it has finished, but I wake feeling so vibrant and excited. This sure has been a life saver for me.     I absolutely love your guided meditation… I am starting a business and feel that I am constantly getting beaten down by rejection, untrustworthy/bad people, lack of progress, and more. Most days I can power through but there are times when it feels like nothing will work, ever. The last few days have been low.
