About me

Me CroppedMy name is Jessica and I live in the Lake District, UK. Ever since I can remember, the journey of creating a life that I love has been my primary focus and I have dedicated myself to my personal growth.

However it was not until the age of 26 when I lost both my father and beloved sister to cancer within 3 months, that the world truly shook from under me and clarity descended around my vision of the world. It may sound like a clichΓ©, but you see, none of us know when our number will be up.

So, I left my high-powered job in the world of Investment Banking in London and all of my material wealth. I moved to the beautiful countryside to transform my life, follow my passion and live my authenticity and joy.

I now coach people to follow their passion and joy, and write this blog to inspire people to live the life that they deserve. And you know what? I feel far richer and more abundant now in my simple life than I ever did before.

The truth of life is not that you should suffer, or feel uninspired, or unhappy, and then one day, die.

The truth of life is that you should thrive in a state of being who you were meant to be, doing what you were meant to do, feeling deeply joyful in your heart. You deserve this life and absolutely nothing less.

What this looks like for you, is completely unique and special to only you. It is your right, and should be your joy, to create the life you love.

You have all the tools at your disposal to create the life you love – abundance is yours.

If you are waiting for a date in time for happiness to arrive at your door, then you may as well kiss goodbye to the precious time you have here. However, if you wish to begin weaving the tapestry of your own happiness then we can begin right now.

I’m not saying that I have all the answers. I am not a spiritual guru and I have my own challenges to face. I am just a girl who is on her path to following her joy, and if you would like to join me, I would be delighted to share the journey.

I am dedicating this site to you, to your dreams and to creating the life that you love!

With love,

Jess

I have to say, after everything that happened, it has been the greatest gift to be in the countryside. That feeling of waking up to a view of green rolling hills and luscious trees and hearing the little birds sing has supported me in ways I am probably not even aware of. If your life is hectic, it may well be the perfect thing for you!

Hi Jessica, it all sounds wonderful on paper and it will most likely work for people who have a or multiple skills/talents/diplomas, social skills. Or at least family/friends ready to help substantially. But how about, say, a homeless person with none of the above? Or an unemployed one, running out of money and options due to the lack of all of the above? Or any other similar situation. I’d love to hear your advice for such a person. I realize these might seem extreme examples but unfortuantely, theya re not, there are way too many people in this kind of situations. Perhaps more than those who could afford to do what you did for instance. And which in fact makes your audience quite narrow. Nevertheless, I am happy you were able to achieve your happiness, good for you. Best wishes.

      Hi Adrian

I welcome your comment and an opportunity to respond to it. I believe fundamentally that we were all born with the same birthright:- to live an authentic, joyful life filled with abundant love. The question is not whether one person has more money than another, nor is it whether they have more diplomas. No matter where one is or how challenging the circumstances of one’s life, there is always an opportunity to take one step (albeit a very tiny one) closer towards joy, love and light.

It all comes back to the individual and the question β€œWho do I now choose to be?”. In each moment we have the opportunity to decide, to shape our reality and to create a joyful life for ourselves. I believe in empowering those that you mentioned; the homeless, those less qualified, for the life they would love is not beyond their reach. The Universe powerfully supports all those that allow their natural abundance to flow to them.

Thank you for connecting with me and sharing how you feel. You can give up if you wish to (that choice is always yours) or you can mould the pain into an opportunity. An opportunity to become more of who you were born to be and to open yourself up to the abundant joy that you deserve. Ask yourself how you can find this opportunity. Is it by beginning to truly love yourself completely as you are and allowing that to be the love of your life?

Feel free to reach out to me whenever – I am here for you.

Jess, In the past, I have been aware of meditation as powerful tool to counteract the stresses in our lives but I have not given myself the time or space to really make it work. Just recently I have decided that after over 40 years as a migraine sufferer, I should stop expecting to find a solution solely from the medical professionals and that I should take more control of the situation. A very inspiring young man in Australia, recently organised an online ‘Migraine World Summit’ and he recommended meditation as one of the tools that has worked for him. This led me to your website and for that I am profoundly grateful. You too are an inspiration. I have already managed a migraine attack using the ‘Healing Body, Mind and Spirit’ meditation, which halved my use of medication. It gives me great hope that there are inspirational young people like you and Carl who are so willing to share their love, time and expertise to help others. Thank you and bless you. xx

    Jess,

Thank you for the ten recommended meditations link. I share it with friends and family generously. I use these guided meditations regularly. As a person new to meditation, I am drawn to it as I am coping with a very mean and unkind work culture and other things that made me sad. I am more lifted and more at peace.

Though I live in the USA, I feel connected to you and a community of people throughout the world now. Mysteriously, I am embracing the study of yoga at what some may consider and advanced age. My purpose is revealing itself so that I can see, feel and understand it.

I believe we share a similar Life’s Mission. As if we are both driven to do great work so that we can help other people realise what they are and that they are free to live the Life of Their Dreams.

I am glad I have found your blog, but even more importantly I am glad that you do it. Your work is great and I am becoming an avid reader of what you create. Why may you ask? Because, on my Journey Through Life I am seeking people just like you, who are driven by their core being, their passion, who want something more, who live to help people, with love and compassion.

    Jess,

Just read the “about me” bio of your “awakened spirit” and completely connected with your story. I lost my father as a very young boy and as a result I felt insecure and socially challenged, always trying to fill an emptyness inside I did not understand. As a teenager I learned to play music which helped get me through difficult times and eventually led me into music broadcasting and working for a radio corporation.I thought it was what I wanted but it only fed my ego…not my soul. After 15 years I started having panic attacks and turned to meditation and prayer to help. This led me to many books about self discovery and just as I began to dream of going out on my own the company was unexpectedly sold and I was let go. I then made a difficult choice with the support of my wife and two children to walk away from seeking another corporate radio job and to do my own show here in the states about love, faith, and encouraging others . Of course (as I’m sure you know from your own journey), there have been some challenging days but I now understand this is my path… it always was. The happiness of discovering your true purpose in life is a gift, one that I want to give away to others. So many people don’t believe it’s possible but I believe If I can do it then anyone can. For me It starts with being thankful each day for the blessings in your life.

I really wanted to thank you for sharing your personal story and inspiring a fellow traveler on this lifelong journey to what our creator intended for each of us.

    Just discovered you, Jess.

My name is David. I’m an independent artist, playwright and songwriter in New York City… who feels like one of the luckiest men alive, for so many reasons. But I’m writing because it’s a “shortcut” to finding the answer to this question β€” Where can I find more of your guided meditations?

I truly, truly love my Life… I have a LOT of fun making Life up as I go along. But I’ve also been exploring consciousness and my place as The Creator for years… and I have ventured up many, many Spiritual paths all leading to the big “Who Knows”? But I haven’t found in any other guided meditation the comfort, the clarity, the Power, the ease, the beauty I find in the few of yours I have experienced.

    You’re the “real thing”.

Anyway… hope to hear from you.

    PEACE

    Hi Jessica,
My name is Dawn, I ran into your website by accident. I am sorry to here your losses at a young age. Ahhh yes there are the many stages of life with each one there are different passions, goals and experiences that place us where we are in this very moment. True and ultimate happiness is within where no-one sees where the mind meets the heart. , Mourning is a gift- for if we didn’t morn we wouldn’t have loved. Why me? is the proverbial question with all suffering be it in our mind or body. No-one escapes suffering and pain be it mental or physical. Thats what makes us human. Its how to deal with it that is the question. How to make each day in life your last day.
Hats off to you if you were able to leave your successful investment job at a young age and pursue a field of interest that pays the bills, saves for retirement and provides peace of mind for your health and wellness.
I have a son headed off to Imperial College for a Masters in Finance- He will meet his own demons in the material world.
As someone born with a physical handicap ( congenital Ichthysosis) hearing impaired and faced many years of self doubt, hate, emotional hurt and the pursuit of beauty in mind, body and soul I will say that even though I maybe a miracle now life can be a challenge for many and finding one’s passion that collaborates with a career single, married divorced or widowed , can take a life time to achieve with financial success. Having married late in my 30’s and working in NYC no not making the big bucks just trying to thrive. Upon moving having children and now facing a different stage in life I can say life is full of ups and down and the choices one makes everyday young or older have consequences.
I am in the United States fortunate to be in a beautiful area but surrounded in areas of poverty. I see it first hand as I work with Single moms from the African American community. Health and Education is key .Financial. sustainability with the discipline to think preventative. Loving thyself is the key to loving others and tough stuff happen to the good and bad and the ugly………
When the heart meets the mind and the outside is like the inside in the true love of one self and others those very character traits of grit and faith in hope with a healthy mind and body can provide a sense of peace.
One can find there way- with patience, persistence and a mind set you simply can’t give up till your last breath..
But as you well know with out good health in mind and body there is no sustaining life. We are all here for a purpose and sadly the older we get the more we realize how very precious life is- Our friends, family, lovers, co-workers come in our lives, leave our lives and create an everlasting footprint in our own lives. footprint.
Thank you for your insightful and beautiful writing.
